Video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azre_mSAPAY (Breaking bad opening sequence) 1) Write an analysis of the cinematography in the opening sequence.  Highlight  your use of media language and try to cover camera shots, angles and movement using the terminology we have learned in lessons.  There is a variety of medium shots , there is a tilt , then swapping angles to showcase  a perspective of anxiety to the audience( enigma code ). The long shot highlights the scenery and shows that it is desolate. The altering of close ups to medium shots show this erratic scene as it envelops into more chaos.  The changing angles of close up to POV of the camera creates this more sincere yet frightening scene, as it makes the audience question what is to come of this. 2) How does the camerawork give the audience clues about the setting, narrative and character? Film & TV Language: Cinematography practical task

This scene depicts a guy walking to his partner , when she suddenly breaks up with him and causes him to go in a drunken rage full of heartbreak.  There is intentionally blur to demonstrate how his memory from the night is impaired and shakiness to also how to show an unprofessional look - showcasing his anger and how he cannot handle the situation. Clips are also cut up to be disorientating for the audience ; jumbled and not in order to purposely show that he cant perfectly recollect what happened and like snippets of memories. The last clip is purposely clear to show that it has ended and he must accept it. Video

Good editing,Good meaning behind song - lyrics matching video, however use more clips and one clip extended for too long 2) Type up your feedback from fellow students - you can summarize key points if several students give you similar feedback. -good editing -good use of song - clear use of parallel and contrapuntal - good quality of videos - add transitions - few clips 3) Now  reflect  on your work and write your own evaluation of your video. Write a 'What went well' (WWW) paragraph and a paragraph for 'Even Better If' (EBI) underneath the rest of your feedback. I believe i had a good idea with a song that was expressed clearly with the first half of the clip- i tried to use good quality clips and my editing was good, and also a clear use of parallel and contrapuntal. However even better if i add more transitions and added an extra clip at the end 4) L earner response: compare your own video against your evaluation of the...

Non-diegetic sound: the loud, driving rock music of "Free Bird" that plays throughout the fight, completely unrelated to the church setting Parallel and contrapuntal sound There is use of parallel sound through the rock and high paced song through the fight scene Sound bridges The music "Free Bird " is used throughout multiple different scenes in the church throughout the clip Remember to discuss/analyse all the different types of sound present in the clip: Music deliberately used to up the pace, and create an entertaining and chaotic envir...
