2) Read the mark scheme for this exam carefully (posted on your exam teacher's Google Classroom), paying particular attention to the the 'indicative content' for each question. Firstly, focus on the unseen question and identify two aspects of the poster that you could have written about in your answer. 

-the two on the left are wearing professional attire which can be seen as subverting stereotypes on what gang members usually wear.
- the buildings are shaped like guns, symbolic of violence and the synonymous gang theme, which is in the title

3) Look at the indicative content for Q1 again and make a note of any theories or examples of media terminology you could have used in your answer.

an ideological reading might suggest that capitalism is a corrupt system which only benefits the few.

the positioning of character and mode of address can be interpreted as signifiers of race and gender (the dominant white male, evasive black male, diminished female)

4) Now focus on the TV 25-marker. Read this exemplar response for the TV question and pick out three arguments, phrases or theories from the essay that you could use in a future question on Capital and Deutschland 83.
-Here, like Capital, it could be argued that western capitalist ideologies are being unconsciously reinforced through the construction of the narrative and key elements of mise-en-scene.

-Capital is a state-of-the-nation drama and this genre immediately gives it an urgency and realism that reflect the political and cultural contexts of its setting.


-Although

the Daily Mail heavily criticised Capital for featuring ‘more leftwing causes than a Jeremy Corbyn’s diary’ it could be argued that the focus on house prices and hard work actually reinforces dominant hegemonic ideologies most closely associated with right-wing capitalist values.



5) Finally, identify three things you need to revise for Media Paper 2 before your next assessment of mock exam.

 The Use of the song 'run' by Joji: -This was used with the space imagery as it speaks about wanting to escape a relationship- similarly to escaping Earth( parallel with first half of the video),furthermore the second half is contrapuntal as it shows the current state of what we live in and how we no longer feel the need to 'escape' , accepting man-kind and technological advance as the death of nature without our universe. 1.Blade Runner  What do you think the film is about and what might the storyline be? It looks like the person with the gun, is the protagonist and they are trying to fight for something, with clear intention against something in the future.   What genre(s) do you think the film belongs to?
