Mise-en-scene video feedback and learner response
Recreation video
1) Type up your feedback from your teacher in full.
Good reenactment, good use of props and outfit usage, good planning, good angles and camera shots, good editing, good non-digetic music.Make sure actors are placed in the correct positions, add description
2) Type up a summary of the feedback you have had from the rest of the class - bullet points is fine.
WWW:
-good syncing videos and lighting,good acting.script,setting,body language, acting, costume,good shot recreation,good music,audio editing, accuracy,good shotlist,good low-key lighting
EBI:
Actor placement and audio
3) Use all the feedback you've been given to write your own self-assessment of your video using WWW (What Went Well) and EBI (Even Better If...)
Focus on making sure audio is clear and high quality to match the video itself, and work on making sure actors are placed correctly.
4) Now reflect on your own work in more detail. How did your planning (script, shot list) help clarify and develop your ideas?
- The script allowed me to revise Rahul and i's lines accurately throughout the scene, the shot list helped allowed my cameraman to make good use of out relevant shots , the script also helped him time when shots were needed - matched to when our actors acted out a physical scene.
-rewatching the video a lot to make sure my scene and props were accurate to a level of low budget.
5) Thinking technically, how could you improve your work for future videos? (E.g. filming, editing, audio levels etc.)
make sure my mic is close to me at all times and can pick up clear audio, ensuring a high quality for my video- also working on editing to make it look more smooth and avoid it looking choppy.
6) Finally, what have you learned regarding the importance of mise-en-scene in film and television? Write a paragraph to answer this.
I have learnt, that mise-en-scene focuses on every single aspect to making a scene , especially through symbols- it also showed the backround work behind it such as lighting and the emphasise on how actors embody the character they are playing, The camera work is also important and the helping use of a shotlist to assist the camera man from making sure they follow what to do correctly. Furthermore, the script helped learn our lines and to show the right emotion through stage directions.
